Grout Recoloring
Grout Recoloring
Grout recoloring can mean the difference between replacing or keeping your existing floors. So many of our customers have been excited after seeing the transformation of their floors after recoloring their grout. Many have said "my floors look brand new".
Why grout recoloring? More often than not, when we show up to give an estimate on cleaning grout we have a pretty good idea whether or not the floors are going to come out looking any different after the cleaning process. The problem isn't whether the floor is actually clean or not but will the grout look any different after being cleaned. Most of the time the answer is no, due to discoloration and old outdated grout. This is when we recommend grout recoloring. Our grout recoloring process will provide a permanent seal which will guard against future stains, discoloration, and moisture.
Homeowners and businesses have the option of changing their original grout color to a lighter or darker shade, or restoring it to the original color. We can do this with color matching your grout. There are countless grout colors made to match almost every stock color. If not, we are confident we’ll find one to compliment your floors.
What is grout recoloring? It is a process that is used allowing us to keep the original grout in place, therefore saves you time, money, mess and dealing with stained grout all over again. Depending on the amount of square footage, it usually takes a full day or 2 in order to complete the job. (The more to recolor the longer it takes)
There are countless benefits that come with recoloring the grout.

- Provides maximum protection (more than just a penetrating sealer would)
- Minimizes cleaning time and up keep
- Adds value to your home or office space
- Provides a fresh new & updated look without completely replacing your floors

- Take an old outdated floor and give it a makeover
Our Process
We start by steam cleaning your entire floor. Once the floors are dry, we apply the grout color. We use a urethane acrylic stain formula that penetrates the surface of the grout joint to give it that natural uniform look, not a painted-on look. This process is tedious and time consuming. It requires us to be on our hands and knees paying attention to every small detail, ensuring the application is even and neat. Once we are finished applying the color, we then buff the floors to remove any excess product and haze from the tiles. We then inspect the floors for any flaws or areas we may have missed. Most of the time we recommend caulking all of edges to match the new color. This gives it a clean and uniform look. Ask to see our demo board and our before and after pictures.
